The dual core Celeron CPU makes this Acer much more powerful than netbooks wielding Atom processors, thus making it a bridge between the portability of a netbook and the power of a more traditional laptop. You can connect to an external CD Drive, printer, monitor and other hardware via the 3 available usb ports and VGA port. An Ethernet port, a Kensington lock slot and a 5-in-1 memory card reader are also available. Michael Prospero over at LaptopMag managed to test this Acer's multimedia capabilities further by successfully outputting high-definition MPEG-4 videos to a 32-inch Samsung LCD television via HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface). The 1410 also boasts innovative ComfyTouch technology - a cooling process which redirects airflow along the bottom side of the chassis, funneling fresh air to help keep the Aspire 1410 from overheating. With handy switches to activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 6 cell battery life in excess of 6 hours and slimline chassis weighing only 3.2 pounds, this Acer Aspire 1410 has the connectivity, stamina and portability to make it a winner for road warriors.
