Why Joe Likes His Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 0196  .com. In the time I've had this laptop, I have been more than pleased. I paid a little under $600 and I've gotten a fantastic machine.My Lenovo has great battery life, lasting over six hours of continuous use. The screen is 13 inches, and the resolution is pretty decent especially for the size. I have found the speed to be amazing, and have rarely had incidents of the computer stalling. I've been able to run Windows 7, Microsoft Office, and many games on my laptop. There have been very few issues. Occasionally a graphic heavy game will slow down or drain battery life, but that's to be expected with almost any laptop. The keyboard and mouse on my laptop are perfect, and it's probably the best feature of the computer. The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 0196 is a great size, weighing about 4 pounds. It's easy to carry around since it's not heavy at all. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 and has been running amazing since I've had it. It came with 3 GB of RAM and I have since upgraded to 4 GB. It also has a 320 GB hard drive, so there is plenty of room to install all the programs you need as well as games and music. It has pretty decent speakers, though they aren't great. You might want to consider running other speakers through your computer if you're planning on listening to music a lot. There is also an integrated camera, though it's nothing amazing. If you're an avid gamer or you plan on using your computer as your stereo, this may not be the laptop for you. But if you are looking for a highly functioning machine that allows you to run software quickly and easily, this laptop is tough to top. Everything is high quality. Troubleshooting is easy to use even for a computer novice, but I haven't really had to worry about it much yet. For what you pay, you're getting an excellent laptop that's easy to use and easy to transport.
